Can my 9 year old attend camp?

Campers must be 10 years old on the dates of camp or be in the 5th grade.

May I bring my child to camp early?

If prior arrangements have been made with camp and airport staff, they will let you know what time you can drop your child off.

May I pick up my child late?

If prior arrangements have been made with camp and airport staff, they will let you know what time you can drop your child off.

My child is a vegetarian? Will special arrangements for food be made?

No special arrangements are made, children with specific needs or allergies will need to bring their own lunch. 

Will there be a refrigerator to keep lunch in?

Yes, there is a refrigerator but prior notification is required.

What food will be served?

Prior to camp an email will be sent to all registered campers of lunch and snack options. Gatorade and water are available for all campers.

My child does not speak English? Can they attend camp?

Yes, they may attend but will need a translator. Translators will not be in the flight portion of the camp. Unless they are a registered camper.

Do I need to escort my child to and from camp?

Yes, an adult will need to sign the child in and out of camp. 

Can someone else pick up my child?

Yes, as long as prior notification is made with the camp and airport staff. The individual will need a letter from the parent and valid ID to sign child out.

What should my child wear?

Camp is both indoors and outdoors. So if your child gets cold easily they may need a jacket for inside. Outside is weather contingent so prepare for the weather forecasted. Clothing should be comfortable , and shoes should be closed toed.

Can my child bring a cellphone to camp?

Campers may bring cell phones, but they must turn it off during all sessions. They will have a chance to text during lunch and breaks. 

Can my child bring their medication?

Yes, as long as prior notification has been made to camp and airport staff. Medication must be in original container.

Can my child attend with a friend?

Yes, when registering your child, make sure to list who their camp buddy is, so they will be grouped together. 

Will photos be taken? When will they be shared?

Yes, photo’s will be taken, airport staff will share pictures during camp if time is available on their social media sites. The museum will also take and share photo’s on their social media sites as time permits. All photos will be uploaded to social media and/or the website, approximately the week after camp.
